The Position

GPS drives the business strategy at Roche from research to commercialization. GPS collaborates closely with teams across the organization to bring new therapies to the market and maximize the launched product portfolio. With your ability to work in detail yet see the big picture, you can influence the direction of the company in a disease area. At Roche, we offer you chances to create your career inside or outside of GPS. With offices in 160 countries, we offer a truly international experience depending on where your interests take you.

The Advanced Analytics for Business Insights (AABI) Center of Excellence is responsible for end-to-end analytics and AI deliveries—encompassing data strategy, predictive data science, generative AI applications, and visual analytics—you will help embed cutting-edge intelligence into the fabric of Roche. Here, you will experience a truly international environment with offices in 160 countries, providing unparalleled opportunities to shape a dynamic career path both within and beyond GPS.

We are looking for a visionary Analytics & GenAI Product Owner to join our team. In this role, you will own the end-to-end strategy, execution, and lifecycle management of high-impact analytical and GenAI products, guiding solutions from ideation and Proof of Concept (POC) to scalable, enterprise-wide deployment. As a strategic thought partner and change agent, you will bridge the gap between complex AI technologies and commercial business strategy, leading a cross-functional squad of experts to translate business challenges into robust, actionable AI use cases that deliver maximum ROI.

The Opportunity

• AI Strategy & Vision: Collaborate with global and market stakeholders to translate complex pharma business needs into scalable data science, predictive analytics, and Generative AI use cases.

• Product Roadmap Management: Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog and roadmap for analytical tools, ensuring alignment with Roche’s evolving customer engagement models and commercial goals.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Orchestrate and inspire multidisciplinary squads, connecting business owners with data scientists, data engineers, ML engineers, GenAI prompt engineers, and UX/UI designers.

• Change Management & Adoption: Design and execute comprehensive change management, onboarding, and training strategies to ensure high adoption rates and smooth cultural transitions toward AI-driven workflows.

• Value Realization & Collaboration: Track, measure, and communicate the business value, ROI, and efficiency gains generated by analytical products while partnering with data platform, IT, and governance teams to optimize pipelines and ensure compliance, security, and scalability.

• Thought Leadership: Demystify advanced analytics and GenAI (such as LLMs, RAG frameworks, and agentic workflows) for non-technical stakeholders, guiding them toward effective, ethical, and compliant solutions.

• Continuous Innovation: Maintain an enterprise mindset by linking individual product success to broader organizational outcomes and actively scouting emerging AI technologies to continuously improve Roche’s analytical ecosystem.

Who You Are

• Educational Background: Holder of a Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.

• Professional Experience: A professional with a minimum of 8 years of experience leading analytical or AI product lifecycles, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.

• AI, Tech, & Pharma Data Savviness: Equipped with a deep understanding of modern data science, machine learning, econometric modeling, and Generative AI (LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, semantic search) alongside strong familiarity with global pharmaceutical data structures (syndicated sales, marketing metrics, RWE, and payer data).

• Change Management & Influence: A change partner with a track record of driving user adoption in complex, matrixed commercial spaces, possessing exceptional communication, storytelling, and influencing skills to simplify technical concepts into executive-ready insights.

• Innovation & Growth Mindset: A trailblazer with a proven ability to manage ambiguity, turn creative ideas into production-ready solutions, foster creativity in others, and view this role as a springboard to drive the future of AI-driven healthcare at Roche (an organization that deeply values diversity, equity, and inclusion).

Ready to Apply? We are looking for a trailblazer who thinks beyond the immediate job description—someone who views this role as a rare springboard to drive the future of AI-driven healthcare at Roche.
