The AI Platform Engineer will design and deploy AI-driven solutions, including chatbots and voice agents, to enhance customer and staff experiences at a retail company. The role involves integrating AI platforms with existing systems like Shopify and Salesforce while utilizing modern AI tooling.
Leading the day-to-day advancement of AI transformation at a fast-paced and leading adventure retailer.
Are you driven by innovation and thrive on building scalable, high-impact AI solutions? At 4WD Supacentre, we don't just keep up with change — we drive it. As an AI Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how our customers interact with us, both online, in-store and over the phone. You'll be hands-on in building the next generation of customer experience and staff platforms. Join us at our Sydney Olympic Park Office, NSW. This role calls for a genuine expert in AI platforms — someone who has spent the last 3+ years immersed in building and delivering real-world products covering point of sale, chat and voice solutions, and brings 10+ years of broader technology experience to back it up. This is a hands-on role sitting within a team of around 15 talented technology specialists. This is a role for an AI-First Platform Engineer, who is fluent in AI platforms and AI Tooling ( Codex, Claude Code etc). Whilst you are an expert on how to code, you have transitioned to AI-first tools and are an expert at using AI-based platforms too. You know which tools to use for which use-case and the pros and cons. As a retailer, we are looking to be experts at AI-based platforms, and build bespoke when a platform does not meet our needs. Given the calibre we're seeking, only candidates who closely meet or exceed these requirements will be contacted.
