🏢 About WorldAssist
WorldAssist is a fast-growing digital consulting startup. We partner with ambitious organizations to build cutting-edge digital solutions from the ground up. This specific role is for a high-impact project embedded with the founding team of one of our key clients.
🌟 Role Overview
We are seeking a highly autonomous and driven Mid-Senior AI/ML Engineer for a long-term, full-time contract. You will take full ownership of designing, building, and deploying machine learning models and AI systems. Because you will be working directly with a client's founding team, you must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and sometimes "messy" startup environment where processes are still being defined.
📋 Key Details
⦁ Experience Level: Mid-Senior (3–5 years of professional experience)
⦁ Employment Type: Full-Time Contract (Long-term)
⦁ Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (8 hours/day)
⦁ Location: 100% Remote (Must be based in the US)
⦁ Work Authorization: Open only to US Citizens or Green Card holders. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
🚀 Key Responsibilities
⦁ End-to-End Ownership: Drive AI/ML projects from initial ideation and data exploration through to model development, training, production deployment, and monitoring.
⦁ Collaboration with Founders: Work directly with the client's founding team to translate high-level business goals and product visions into technical execution.
⦁ Navigate Ambiguity: Thrive in a dynamic, startup-like setting by proactively identifying problems, finding creative solutions, and building structure out of chaos.
⦁ Pipeline Development: Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure required to support machine learning models.
⦁ Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while establishing standard ML engineering practices for the project.
🛠️ Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
⦁ B.S. in Computer Science or a strictly related technical field is required.
⦁ Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
Experience & Skills:
⦁ 3 to 5 years of proven experience as an AI/ML Engineer or in a similar production-heavy data science role.
⦁ Strong proficiency in Python and standard ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn).
⦁ Solid experience with software engineering best practices (Git, CI/CD, unit testing, API development).
⦁ Experience deploying ML models to cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and using containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
⦁ A strong "founder's mentality" with a bias for action and a passion for building zero-to-one products.
💡 Desirable Extras
⦁ Experience working in early-stage startups or digital consulting agencies.
⦁ Familiarity with LLMs (Large Language Models), prompt engineering, or vector databases.
🎁 What’s In It For You?
⦁ Massive Impact: You won't just be a cog in a machine; you will be the driving force behind a core product.
⦁ Startup Growth, Agency Security: Enjoy the thrill of working with a founding team alongside the stability and network of WorldAssist.
⦁ Remote Freedom: Work from anywhere in the US with a set, predictable 9-to-5 schedule aligned to the Eastern Time Zone.
