Joins Apple's Security Engineering & Architecture team in Paris to build AI/ML systems that help security researchers find vulnerabilities across Apple's full stack — silicon, firmware, kernels, frameworks, browsers, apps. Day to day: applying LLMs and agents alongside fuzzing and static analysis to ship production-grade security tools.
Apple's Security Engineering & Architecture organization is responsible for the security of all Apple products. Passionate about safeguarding users, we believe that the best defense requires a great offense. When it comes to securing more than a billion devices running the world's most sophisticated operating systems, that means finding vulnerabilities first.
Our mission is to discover, understand, and exploit vulnerabilities across all layers of Apple’s platforms, and ML techniques have already significantly enhanced our ability to do so. We're hiring an AI/ML Engineer to join the team building and improving these systems.
This position provides rare exposure to a full‑stack view of security along with direct access to expert knowledge, unique datasets, and cross‑domain experience. Your contributions will materially raise the security of products used by billions and strengthen Apple’s ability to defend against adversaries.
Can you make a difference on this scale? Join our extraordinary group of security researchers, tool developers, and machine learning experts, and help protect all Apple users.
In this role, you will design and develop AI-enhanced systems that help security researchers navigate vast codebases, reason about intricate attack surfaces, and identify subtle weaknesses. Your systems will sit alongside and amplify the techniques the field already relies on: fuzzing, static and dynamic analysis, code review, and more. The scope is unusually broad, spanning the full stack: custom silicon and micro-architecture, boot ROMs, firmware, kernels, system frameworks, browsers, and user applications.
To keep Apple ahead of emerging techniques, you will track the state of the art in fundamental and applied AI, and translate the ideas that hold up into practical, production-grade security tools. Alongside security researchers, you will put those systems through real security evaluations, which is the only feedback signal that tells you what's actually landing.
As part of a fast-moving team, you will help build the software that lets Apple's products defend against advanced threats, strengthen critical security processes, and protect customers around the world. If the idea of doing frontier ML work with direct, measurable impact on Apple's security posture, and doing it at one of the most diverse and inclusive companies in the world, excites you, we'd love to hear from you.
