We are seeking an experienced AI Manager with a proven track record in delivering AI, data, or digital transformation initiatives. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience, particularly within the Utilities or Energy sector, and possess strong leadership skills.
Function: Manage AI delivery cadence, oversee supplier-provided resources, coordinate internal AI resources, drive pipeline prioritization, engage stakeholders, execute governance, and realize value.
Seniority/Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is mandatory.
Reporting Line: This position reports directly to the IT Strategy, Performance and Delivery Manager.
Location: Flexible / Hybrid
Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate day-to-day activities across supplier resources, collaborating with stakeholders and adhering to governance structures.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of delivering AI, data, or digital transformation initiatives and will have extensive experience within the Utilities or Energy sector. This individual will act as a key bridge between business stakeholders, internal teams, and external delivery partners.
Reporting directly to the IT Strategy, Performance and Delivery Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the organisation's AI roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the delivery cadence for AI initiatives across the organisation.
Coordinate and oversee supplier-provided resources and delivery teams.
Manage and align internal AI resources to ensure efficient execution of projects.
Drive AI demand management and pipeline prioritisation in collaboration with business leaders.
Engage with stakeholders across business and technology functions to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
Establish and execute governance processes, reporting, and decision-making frameworks.
Monitor progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery performance across AI initiatives.
Drive value realisation by ensuring AI investments generate measurable business outcomes.
Foster collaboration between technology teams, business functions, and external partners.
Support strategic planning and continuous improvement of AI capabilities and operating models.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience delivering AI, data, analytics, or digital transformation programmes.
Proven experience in a leadership role managing complex cross-functional initiatives.
Strong experience within the Utilities, Energy, or closely related sectors.
Demonstrated success managing external suppliers, consulting partners, and internal delivery teams.
Deep understanding of AI programme delivery, governance, prioritisation, and value management.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including engagement with senior leadership.
Experience working within structured governance and portfolio management environments.
Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
