AI Engineer

Overview

We are looking for an AI Engineer who will play a key role in building and evolving the foundations of TUI's AI engineering ecosystem, including AI harnesses, agent frameworks, MCP integrations, evaluation frameworks, governance models, and AI-native development workflows.

As part of the team, you will be involved in creating intelligent AI agents and agentic workflows that automate and optimise key stages of the engineering lifecycle. The focus is on improving software quality, engineering productivity, consistency, and delivery speed while enabling AI-assisted development across cross-platform mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve AI-powered agents and agent frameworks that support the Product Development Lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain AI harnesses, evaluation frameworks, and governance controls for agent-based systems.
• Implement and integrate Model Context Protocol (MCP) solutions and other AI orchestration mechanisms.
• Build and operate agentic workflows using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and related AI platforms.
• Define prompt engineering strategies, model configurations, guardrails, and evaluation approaches.
• Integrate AI agents with developer tools, repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering workflows.
• Establish best practices for AI-assisted software delivery, code generation, review automation, and workflow orchestration.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, platform, QA, and security teams to drive AI-led automation initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of reusable standards, patterns, and governance frameworks for AI-native engineering.
• Continuously evaluate emerging AI tools, frameworks, models, and agentic engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and building AI applications using Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and modern AI engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience developing agent-based systems, autonomous workflows, or multi-agent architectures.
• Experience with Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, Amazon Q, or similar enterprise AI platforms.
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering, agent orchestration, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and AI governance.
• Experience implementing MCP integrations and AI-native development workflows.
• Proven experience using tools such as Kiro, GitHub Copilot, Claude, Amazon Q, or similar AI-assisted engineering platforms.
• Experience integrating AI solutions into enterprise software engineering environments and cloud-based platforms.
• Good understanding of software engineering principles and familiarity with Java or Kotlin-based ecosystems.
• Experience working with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
• Passion for AI innovation and driving the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices.
