AI Engineer

Join our innovative team at Curamando as an AI Engineer! Work with cutting-edge technologies, mentor others, and help shape the future of our growing AI practice in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

At Curamando, we're not just creating software; we're crafting the future, one innovative project at a time. We empower our team to not only envision the future but also play a pivotal role in building it.

Curamando, part of the Nordic consulting house Eidra, specialises in accelerating top-line growth through digital strategy and innovation. We're a fast-growing consultancy already partnering with industry leaders — from cutting-edge automotive brands to forward-looking tech companies. Together with Eidra's 1,200+ strategists, creatives, and engineers spread across Stockholm, New York, and beyond, we tackle ambitious problems at scale. This role isn't only about delivering on Curamando's value offering — you'll also play an integral part in helping other Eidra verticals deliver on their AI agenda, well beyond commerce.

We're looking for people ready to join us on this journey, bringing passion, creativity, and dedication. This role is open across multiple levels — from individual contributors to senior engineers and emerging leaders — and offers an opportunity to develop your craft while working closely with clients on real-world AI challenges.

Job Summary:

We are seeking AI Engineers with experience in building robust, scalable, AI-powered solutions. The ideal candidate combines a product engineering mindset with deep enthusiasm for advancing AI capabilities, a strong interest in knowledge sharing and mentoring, and a genuine curiosity about how to build value offerings on the cutting edge of AI.

For more senior candidates, we're particularly interested in people with an intrapreneurial and business development mindset - engineers who want to help grow our AI Core team from a 15–20 person operation to 40+, and who see themselves as builders of the company, not just of the deliverables.

As an AI Engineer at Curamando, your role will involve:

• Helping clients clarify their questions and determining whether AI is a suitable solution

• Understanding the limitations of models and how to address them within a product's UX

• Architecting agentic solutions (context, memory, and tool/skill handling) and implementing them using frameworks such as Mastra, Microsoft Agent Framework, LangChain/LangGraph

• Applying stochastic test casing and trace-based reasoning to evaluate, test, and improve agent behaviour, supported by observability tooling (Langfuse, Promptfoo, etc.)

• Understanding and applying core AI concepts such as redlining, document chunking for accuracy, efficient use of embeddings, and debugging AI systems

• Validating, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining models, ensuring they can be used at scale

• Developing and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines and ML workflows, optimising for performance and reliability

• Working with diverse, cross-functional teams across Curamando and Eidra on projects that deliver groundbreaking AI solutions

For senior candidates and emerging leaders, the role also includes:

• Mentoring and inspiring: Nurturing a growing team of AI engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and collaborative problem-solving - essential in a field that moves this fast

• Building the practice: Contributing to how we shape our AI value offering, identifying new opportunities, and helping evolve the AI Core team as it scales

• Cross-vertical impact: Partnering with other Eidra companies to bring AI capability to domains beyond Curamando's core focus

We also welcome experienced software engineers looking to transition into AI:

• Strong product development background with several years of software engineering experience

• Active engagement in AI (agents, wrappers, context engineering)

• Comfortable working in a product/engineering team

Who You Are:

We value candidates who demonstrate:

• Great delivery skills: Proven capability to deliver AI solutions

• Strong AI intuition: A deep understanding of AI concepts

• A people mindset: Genuine interest in knowledge sharing, mentoring, and lifting those around you

• Curiosity: Enthusiasm for emerging technologies, creativity in problem-solving, and eagerness to learn in a rapidly evolving AI landscape

• Full-stack product thinking: Frontend or backend experience outside the traditional AI field, with the ability to build end-to-end

• An intrapreneurial spirit (especially for senior roles): Interest in helping build the company, not just deliver to clients - finding your path in our career framework means being curious about the business too

• A passion for innovation and a knack for problem-solving

• Eagerness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges

• Belief in collaboration, diversity, and making a significant impact

What We Offer:

• A chance to work closely with global brands on diverse projects that push the boundaries of what's possible - across Curamando and the wider Eidra group.

• A fun and fair work environment where you can expand your skills through unique challenges and fantastic colleagues.

• A personal coach, and a setting where you can grow professionally and personally.

• Being part of multidisciplinary teams in a highly ambitious setting.

• The opportunity to shape how our AI practice evolves and scales.

Why Curamando?
