Contract AI Business Analyst role in Sydney (hybrid) on a major digital transformation program: uses generative AI tools like Claude day-to-day to accelerate requirements, user stories and analysis, while critically validating AI-generated outputs alongside product, engineering and data teams.
We are partnering with a leading Australian digital organisation looking for an AI Business Analyst to join a major transformation program.
This is not a traditional BA role focused purely on requirements gathering and process mapping. We're looking for someone who understands how the BA role is evolving with AI and has genuine experience working with AI-generated data, insights and outputs, using tools such as Claude to accelerate and improve analysis and requirements development.
Role
Working within a modern, cross-functional delivery environment, you will help bridge business problems, data and technology while using AI as part of your day-to-day BA toolkit.
Use Claude and other GenAI tools to support requirements development, analysis, documentation, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Interpret and critically assess data, insights and outputs produced by AI models and tools, translating these into meaningful business and delivery outcomes.
Work with AI-generated outputs rather than simply accepting them - validating, challenging and understanding what the data is telling you.
Skillset
Strong Business Analysis experience within digital, technology or transformation environments.
Genuine hands-on experience using Generative AI tools such as Claude as part of your BA workflow.
Experience interpreting and working with AI-generated data, analysis or insights.
An understanding of how AI can be incorporated into requirements, process design and solution development.
Comfortable challenging AI-generated outputs and applying human judgement rather than treating AI as simply an automation tool.
Experience working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, QA, Architects and Data teams.
Strong technical literacy, ideally including exposure to APIs, integrations, data and modern digital platforms.
Curious, adaptable and genuinely interested in how AI is changing the role of the Business Analyst.
Retail, eCommerce or large-scale digital platform experience would be highly regarded.
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to work in an environment that is actively changing how technology teams operate with AI. Rather than simply adding AI tools to traditional delivery methods, the organisation is exploring new ways of working where AI becomes embedded across analysis, requirements and delivery.
If you're a BA who is already thinking beyond traditional requirements gathering and wants to work at the intersection of AI, data, digital and business transformation, we'd love to hear from you.
