Acquisition Manager (Marketing)

About IONOS

IONOS is one of Europe's largest web-presence and cloud providers, giving millions of customers the tools to build and grow their online presence. In North America — the US, Canada, and Mexico — we're the challenger: competing to become the clear alternative to the largest incumbents, and taking share as we grow.

The US Commercial team's mandate is to grow IONOS in North America by finding and scaling new, high-efficiency customer-acquisition channels. That means building creative, launching fast, measuring everything, and doubling down on what works — with very short loops from the ad unit to the conversion. Our core web and marketing platform is run by central teams in Germany; the US pod localizes and executes quickly on top of it.

The role:

You'll own US customer acquisition efficiency. Concretely, you own the number: CAC and new-customer inflow. You'll do it by owning the entire journey from the ad unit to the conversion — creative, channel, landing page, offer, and measurement — and by opening and scaling new channels the US hasn't fully tapped: TikTok, Meta, Instagram, YouTube pre-roll, podcast, CTV, and creator/affiliate.

This is the senior seat in a small pod. You'll set the pace, run daily optimization loops, and informally coach two early-career teammates. You're hands-on — a builder and buyer.

What you'll own:

• The CAC/inflow number. Move blended CAC toward target while hitting inflow goals, channel by channel.
• The full ad-unit-to-conversion loop. Brief and produce creative (image, video, carousels), set up and buy channels, coordinate landing pages and offers, and measure impact end to end.
• New-channel build-out. Stand up and scale TikTok, Meta, IG, YouTube pre-roll, podcast, CTV, and creator/affiliate with short, disciplined test loops.
• An AI-first production and analysis engine. Use generative AI for creative and copy, and LLMs/analytics for daily optimization — operating with the leverage of a whole pod.
• The content workbench. Drive our creator-marketing motion: scripting/storytelling, briefing creators, and turning their output into testable paid assets.
• Cross-Atlantic execution. Partner with central German teams as you would with an agency and with the Website A/B PO on landing pages and conversion.

What success looks like:

• First 90 days: daily optimization loops live on at least one new channel; a clear read on where our CAC is really going and the top 3 levers to fix it.
• 6 months: two or more new channels running with a repeatable test → measure → iterate → scale motion, and a demonstrable CAC-improvement trajectory.
• 12 months: blended CAC moving convincingly toward target while inflow targets are met; a playbook others can run.

Who you are:

• 3–6 years in performance/growth marketing, ideally direct-to-consumer / eCommerce or affiliate. You've owned a paid budget and been measured on efficiency.
• Owner mentality. You treat the budget like it's your own money and the outcome like it's your own business.
• AI-first operator. You already use LLMs and generative/creative tools to produce, analyze, and optimize at a pace that used to require a team.
• Full-funnel fluency. You're comfortable across creative, channel buying, landing pages, offers, and analytics — and you can go deep in an ad account and a spreadsheet.
• Player-coach. Hands-on yourself, but able to raise the bar for early-career teammates and serve as a sounding board.
• Matrix-comfortable. You can get things done across teams and time zones without formal authority.
• Location - you are open and eager to work in our Center City Philadelphia office at least 3X a week
• Travel - you would welcome the opportunity to travel internationally on occassion to meet global colleagues, learn and share ideas.

How this team works:

We're a small, high-ownership pod inside a global company. A few things are true here, and they're worth knowing before you apply:

• You'll own outcomes, not activity. Your work is measured against CAC, inflow, and conversion — and we look at the numbers together, often.
• We move fast and iterate in the open: launch, measure, learn, adjust — usually within days, not quarters.
• We practice continuous, two-way feedback that is direct and frequent. Operating on a professional basis, we don't engage in blame, rescuing, or scorekeeping. When a problem arises, we identify it early and collaborate to resolve it.
• We're AI-first, and we'll help you get great at it.
• You'll be coached. The GM is hands-on and invested in your growth. This is a place to accelerate a career, not to coast.

This is a great fit if you're driven, resilient, and energized by ownership and candid feedback
