Account Manager - Residential

Great projects start with great partnerships.

At PPG, we've spent more than 140 years protecting and beautifying the world through the paints, coatings and specialty materials we make.

Behind every successful residential build is a network of builders, contractors and trade professionals who rely on trusted suppliers to keep projects moving.

That's where you come in.

We're looking for an Account Manager to join our Residential team, managing a well-established territory across Sydney.

This is a relationship-focused role where you'll partner closely with builders, painting contractors and trade customers, helping them get the products, service and support they need to succeed.

This isn't a transactional sales role.

It's about building trust, identifying opportunities, and becoming a valued partner to customers who depend on you and PPG every day.

What makes this opportunity different

• Take ownership of a well-established territory across Sydney
• Manage an existing portfolio of residential builders, painting contractors and trade customers
• Work from home when you're not meeting customers on-site
• Build long-term customer relationships while identifying opportunities for growth
• Competitive salary plus quarterly sales incentive program
• Company vehicle or car allowance, laptop, mobile phone and iPad
• Career development opportunities across PPG's ANZ and global network

Why people stay

People join PPG for the opportunity. They stay because of the people and our customers.

You'll be joining a collaborative team led by a manager who believes in developing capability, giving people ownership and backing them to succeed. It's an environment where you're trusted to manage your territory, make decisions and build meaningful customer relationships.

You'll inherit a territory with strong foundations and established customer relationships already in place, giving you the opportunity to make an immediate impact while continuing to grow the business over time.

How you'll make an impact

Success in this role comes from understanding your customers, building strong relationships and helping grow their business alongside ours.

You'll:

• Take ownership of a well-established customer portfolio across Western Sydney
• Build trusted relationships with residential builders, painting contractors and trade customers
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and win new business
• Partner with customers to understand their challenges and provide solutions that add value
• Execute structured territory and call-cycle plans to maximise customer engagement
• Work closely with internal teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience
• Use CRM and sales tools to manage opportunities and maintain strong territory discipline
• Help strengthen PPG's position within the residential construction market

How you'll thrive

We're looking for someone who can quickly establish credibility with customers and become a trusted partner in the market.

You'll be successful here if you:

• Have experience in account management, territory management or B2B sales
• Bring industry knowledge from paints, coatings, decorative products, building materials or a closely aligned sector
• Understand the needs of builders, contractors, tradespeople and residential construction customers
• Naturally build relationships and earn trust with customers
• Take a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems
• Are comfortable working autonomously while remaining a strong team contributor
• Have strong planning, organisation and territory management skills
• Hold a valid driver's licence

Experience working with painting contractors, builders or residential construction customers will be highly regarded.

Ready to build something long term?

If you're looking for a role where relationships matter, customers know your name, and you have the autonomy to make a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you.
