Fixed-Term Maternity Leave Contract | 6 Months | Varsity Lakes, Gold Coast

Great with clients? Commercially switched on? Comfortable talking tech without needing to be the technical expert?

DJC Systems is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our team on a fixed-term contract, covering a period of maternity leave for approximately 6 months.

Based from our Varsity Lakes office on the Gold Coast, you’ll step into an established portfolio of clients and take ownership of those relationships keeping clients engaged, understanding what’s happening in their businesses and ensuring they continue to receive genuine value from their partnership with DJC.

You don’t need to be an IT technician, and you don’t necessarily need to come from an MSP.

What we are looking for is someone with experience in a technology-focused environment who understands the fundamentals of tech, can confidently navigate conversations with clients and technical teams, and knows how to build strong commercial relationships.

The Role

As Account Manager, you’ll be the primary commercial point of contact for your assigned clients.

You’ll take the time to understand their businesses, technology environments and future plans, while working closely with DJC’s technical and service teams to make sure the right people are brought into the conversation when needed.

You’ll lead regular client reviews, manage ongoing commercial activity and identify opportunities where additional technology, projects or services could genuinely benefit the client.

This is a relationship-led role with a commercial edge perfect for someone who enjoys getting to know their clients, asking the right questions and connecting the dots.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Take ownership of an established portfolio of client relationships

• Build trusted relationships with key client stakeholders

• Lead regular Tactical Business Reviews and ongoing client meetings

• Develop an understanding of each client’s business, technology environment and future plans

• Identify opportunities across projects, hardware, software, licensing and additional services

• Manage and progress client opportunities through the sales pipeline

• Coordinate agreement renewals and other commercial requirements

• Support clients with commercial and invoicing queries

• Work closely with DJC’s Service Desk, Engineering, Projects, Security and Finance teams

• Ensure client feedback, priorities and challenges are communicated internally

• Coordinate smooth handovers between client conversations and technical delivery

• Maintain accurate client, opportunity and meeting information within DJC’s systems

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be a confident relationship builder who can walk into an established portfolio, quickly get to know your clients and become someone they trust.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Previous experience in Account Management, Client Relationship Management or a similar client-facing commercial role

• Experience working within technology, software, telecommunications, IT services or another tech-focused environment

• A good understanding of technology fundamentals you don't need to be highly technical, but you need to be comfortable talking about technology

• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

• Commercial confidence and the ability to identify opportunities within existing accounts

• The ability to ask great questions, understand a client's needs and bring in the right technical expertise when required

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple clients, priorities and deadlines

• Confidence working collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams

MSP experience would be welcomed, but it is not essential.

Why DJC Systems?

This is an opportunity to step straight into an established portfolio and make an impact from day one.

You’ll work alongside an experienced team who can provide the technical expertise — your role is to own the relationship, understand the client and bring the right people together.

Based alongside the team in Varsity Lakes, you’ll have the opportunity to build strong internal relationships as well as spend time face-to-face with clients.

For someone looking for a fixed-term opportunity within the technology industry, this is a chance to gain great exposure, take genuine ownership and work with a diverse portfolio of established clients.

Sound Like You?

If you’re a natural relationship builder with Account Management experience and enough tech knowledge to confidently operate in a technology environment, we’d love to hear from you.
