About the company
Our client is a fast-growing software company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Manage the entire sales process for larger business accounts, from first outreach through signed contract. The position combines responding to a steady stream of incoming interest with proactive prospecting of new accounts. You will work at pace, adjust to varied deal sizes and help a young sales function mature.
What you'll do
- Lead each opportunity end to end: prospecting, discovery calls, product demonstrations, negotiation and contract signature.
- Convert a high volume of incoming leads into revenue across midsize and large organizations.
- Prospect proactively to open doors at target accounts that inbound activity does not reach.
- Handle opportunities of widely differing sizes without being tied to one industry focus.
- Join occasional in-person customer meetings and a small number of industry events each year.
- Help define and refine the sales approach as the business grows.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 2 to 7 years of B2B software sales experience owning the whole cycle and regularly meeting or beating quota.
- Demonstrated success winning sizeable, complicated deals that involve several decision makers; experience limited to small business sales is not a match.
- Track record with contract values from roughly 50K to 500K per year.
- A fast-moving, energetic and adaptable working style.
- Evidence of outstanding ability, such as a strong academic background or a comparable notable accomplishment.
- A steady career history with reasonable time in each role.
- Ability to work on-site in the office five days a week.
Bonus points
- Consistently ranking at or near the top of a sales team, not just reaching target.
- Experience as the first sales hire at a young company, or as a founder who helped drive its growth.
- A technically oriented background, such as a STEM or computer science degree, pre-sales technical work, or selling developer-focused products.
- A career path that started in business development and moved into closing roles.
