Account Executive – New Business (SME)

At Bits Technology, we are building the compliance operating system for regulated financial companies across Europe. Our mission is to revolutionize how businesses manage risk and regulatory compliance by offering cutting-edge, customizable compliance solutions. We are a team of ambitious and experienced individuals that have successfully raised capital from leading investors in the FinTech industry, positioning us as an emerging leader in the field.

Over the past years, we have built a strong and stable team in Stockholm, a group of curious builders and commercial drivers who have laid the foundation for our product, culture, and growth journey.

We are now looking for an Account Executive to join our commercial team in Stockholm. This is a pure hunting role. Your focus will be on winning new customers among small and medium-sized regulated financial companies, such as payment institutions, e-money institutions, lenders, investment firms, insurance intermediaries, and fintechs. You will own the full sales cycle, from the first cold call to the signed contract. You will help growing companies solve complex compliance challenges, and you will play an important role in the next chapter of Bits' growth.

There is no SDR support in this role. You book your own meetings and build your own pipeline. Our sales cycles are typically 1–6 months, so you will run many deals in parallel at a high pace. Once a deal is closed, the customer is handed over to our Customer Success team. That way, you can stay fully focused on what you do best: winning new business.

If you love the chase, get energy from picking up the phone, and want to build your own pipeline from scratch, we would love to hear from you.

What you will be doing

• Proactively prospect and generate new business through cold calling, email, and LinkedIn outreach to SME companies in the regulated financial sector.

• Generate leads through your own network, referrals, and by being present at industry events, meetups, and conferences.

• Book your own meetings, with a target of around 5 new customer meetings per week.

• Own the full sales process for new customers: prospecting, discovery, demo, negotiation, and closing.

• Build and manage your own pipeline with a high level of activity and structure, keeping our CRM up to date.

• Meet and exceed your new business targets.

• Hand over closed customers to our Customer Success team for onboarding and long-term account management.

• Represent Bits at networking events and conferences across the Nordics.

• Work closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Engineering to share market insights and improve how we go to market.

What we are looking for

• 3+ years in B2B new business sales, preferably selling to SME companies in financial services, such as banking, payments, insurance, or regulated fintech.

• A proven track record as a hunter. You have generated your own pipeline through cold calling and outbound prospecting, without SDR support, and you enjoy doing it.

• Documented experience of successfully selling B2B SaaS products.

• Proven ability to deliver sales results, preferably having exceeded targets by a wide margin.

• Experience managing short-to-mid sales cycles (1–3 months) and running several deals in parallel, with strong discipline in your pipeline management.

• A strong network across the Swedish and Nordic FinTech and financial services ecosystem, which you can use to create new business opportunities.

• Strong communication and storytelling skills in Swedish and English. Fluent in Swedish is mandatory.

• A social, outgoing personality. You enjoy networking and actively creating new contacts at events.

• Resilience and drive. You see a "no" as part of the process and stay motivated by targets and results.

It's a great advantage if you have experience selling RegTech or compliance products.

What we offer

• On-target earnings (OTE) of SEK 90,000–100,000 per month when delivering on budget, made up of three parts:

  • fixed base salary

  • uncapped commission on new business

  • an annual bonus

• Compensation split: approximately 35–40% fixed and 60–65% variable (commission and bonus).

• Uncapped commission, so there is no ceiling on your earnings when you exceed your targets.

• A clear new business target and a transparent commission structure.

• A role fully dedicated to new business. Customer Success takes over after closing.

• A SEK 5,000 annual wellness allowance.

• A strong pension plan.

• The finest office in town, right at Stureplan in central Stockholm.

• The chance to shape how we win the SME market, in a fast-growing, well-funded company.
