Account Executive - Japan

The Opportunity: Build the Playbook, Don't Just Read It

Locations: Philadelphia, USA · Ireland · Japan

Straker is an AI-powered language technology powerhouse, transforming how global enterprises scale their communication and translation. Arbitr is our most ambitious bet yet.

As an early-stage, high-growth platform within the Straker portfolio, Arbitr represents the bleeding edge of what AI can do for enterprise language workflows. We are looking for an elite, commercially driven Account Executive to serve as the commercial engine for Arbitr across EMEA.

This is not a role for someone who wants to coast on an established brand or sell a fully finished, static product. You will be acting as a founder within a scaling company—owning the GTM strategy for your territory, shaping the product roadmap with real-time market feedback, and selling the vision of where this technology is going.

What You Will Do (The Mission)

You will own the full commercial lifecycle for Arbitr . This is a dynamic, high-visibility role blending new logo acquisition, strategic migrations, and account expansion.

• Hunt and Win: Proactively build pipeline and close net-new enterprise customers
• Strategic Migration: Identify and transition eligible legacy Straker accounts to the Arbitr platform, serving as a trusted advisor throughout the change management process.
• Expand and Land: Turn early adopters into power users, driving net revenue retention and expansion within your book of business.
• Sell the Vision, Not Just the Features: You will sell the current product with radical honesty while simultaneously pitching the roadmap. You must be able to inspire prospects to buy into the future state of Arbitr and trust Straker to deliver it.
• Shape the Product: You are our eyes and ears on the ground. You will maintain a direct, continuous feedback loop with our Product team, ensuring market demands dictate our development priorities.
• Command the Room: Build deep, credible relationships with C-suite stakeholders, positioning Arbitr as a strategic long-term partner rather than a transactional tool.

Who You Are (The DNA)

You are an ambitious, cutting-edge sales professional who thrives in the "white space." You don't need hand-holding, but you know how to leverage a wider team to win big deals.

• A Proven Closer: You have a verifiable track record of crushing quota in B2B SaaS, enterprise technology, or emerging tech markets.
• Comfortable in the Grey: You are energized, not paralyzed, by an evolving product. When the pitch changes or the positioning shifts, you adapt instantly.
• A Full-Cycle Master: You are a killer prospector, a phenomenal discovery leader, and a sharp negotiator. You easily shift gears between hunting new logos and expanding existing accounts.
• A Visionary Seller: You practice consultative, value-based selling. You know how to articulate the massive ROI of disruptive technology.
• Fiercely Autonomous: You operate like the CEO of your territory. You manage your pipeline ruthlessly, forecast with precision, and drive your own daily priorities.
• Bonus Points: Experience selling into legal, contract management, or localization tech, or a background scaling early-stage/Series A SaaS products.

How We Measure Success

We value outcomes over output. You will be measured on:

• New business ARR & Logo acquisition.
• Migration velocity of eligible Straker accounts to Arbitr.
• Net Revenue Retention (NRR) and expansion bookings.
• Pipeline generation, win rates, and sales cycle velocity.
