3D Artist ( Blender) — Architectural Visualisation

Company Overview

Pixel Image is a dynamic software and content creation company headquartered in Scotland, UK, with a talented production team based in Pune, India. We specialise in creating high-quality architectural digital experiences and immersive visual content for UK residential and commercial developers. Our Pune studio operates across 8 production PODs, each delivering photorealistic 3D visualisation, CGI renders, and virtual tours for real client projects — not concept or portfolio work.

Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled 3D Modeller with a genuine background in architectural visualisation (ArchViz) and strong proficiency in Blender to join our production team. This role is specifically for someone who has built their career visualising real buildings and spaces for architecture, real estate, or property marketing — not general 3D modelling, gaming, product visualisation, or film/VFX work. You will play a key role in bringing architectural concepts to life for real UK client projects, directly influencing how our design ideas are visualised and presented.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Collaboration: Work closely with designers and project managers to understand architectural concepts, design intent, and client brand/marketing requirements for each project.

• 3D Modelling: Create detailed, accurate 3D models of architectural structures and spaces using Blender, built directly from architectural drawings and reference material.

• Texturing & Lighting: Develop high-quality textures, materials, and lighting setups to produce realistic, market-ready architectural renderings.

• Visualisation Output: Produce polished 3D visualisations — stills, walkthroughs, or virtual tours — to showcase design options for client presentations and internal design reviews.

• Accuracy & Compliance: Ensure every model adheres to architectural guidelines, scale, and project requirements, cross-checking against drawings and client specifications.

• Model Optimisation: Optimise 3D models and scenes for efficient rendering and performance without compromising visual accuracy or quality.

• Design Reviews: Contribute ideas and constructive feedback during design reviews and team discussions, helping raise the overall visual bar of the studio's output.

• Continuous Learning: Stay current with trends, tools, and advancements in 3D modelling and architectural visualisation, and bring relevant new techniques back to the team.

Requirements

Essential — ArchViz Background

• Background: Candidates must come specifically from an architectural visualisation background — real estate, residential/commercial property, or architecture studio work — not general 3D modelling, gaming, product visualisation, or film/VFX. Portfolios should clearly show real building and interior/exterior visualisation work, not concept art or entertainment assets.

• Experience: At least 3 years of relevant, hands-on experience as a 3D Modeller with a focus on architectural visualisation.

• Software Proficiency: Strong, demonstrable proficiency in Blender; working knowledge of Unreal Engine is a plus.

• Communication: Strong written and spoken English, since this role involves direct collaboration with UK-based designers, project managers, and clients.

• Architectural Knowledge: Solid understanding of architectural design principles, construction techniques, materials, and how real buildings are actually put together.

• Drawing Interpretation: Ability to accurately read and interpret architectural drawings (plans, elevations, sections) and translate them into precise 3D models.

• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a genuine commitment to producing high-quality, client-ready work.

• Collaboration: Comfortable collaborating closely with designers, project managers, and other artists within a POD structure.

• Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating relevant architectural 3D modelling work, including real-time visualisations where available.

Bonus Points

• Hands-on experience with texturing and materials creation for architectural surfaces (glass, stone, timber, metal, fabric, etc.).

• Knowledge of rendering engines such as V-Ray or Corona Renderer.

• Familiarity with virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) applications for architectural visualisation.
